Teaching Diversity & Tolerance

I worked at a Jewish Synagogue for three years and learned about different cultures.  I also learned that what we teach our children will in the end come back to make us better people.  "...and a child shall lead them" it is written in the Bible.  It is our children we need to teach if we want the world to be a better place.

         

Teaching Diversity & Tolerance

We seek diversity, but live in a world of intolerance

We strive for patience, but live in a world of beating the clock

We want to love, but live in a world filled with hate

We need peace, but live in fear of war

We live with what we are taught

But if we teach those who are young

They will change the world

If we teach them diversity, they will be tolerant of all

If we teach them patience, they will live in time with the world

If we teach them love, they will not hate those who are different

If we teach them peace, they will not bring about war

It is said that a child shall lead them,

But children need a guiding hand

If we teach the young to change the world,

They will make this a better land
